I was born May 7, 1972 in Gadsden, Alabama. After falling under Holy Ghost conviction, I went to the altar and asked the Lord to forgive my sins and save my soul on the evening of July 13, 1978 as a 6 year old boy. The Lord knew that the majority of sin I would ever commit in my life would be after I was saved, yet He saved me anyway. As one of my favorite songs says, There’s been plenty of times I have failed my Lord, but He has yet to ever fail me.

The Lord began calling me to preach when I was in my late teens but I did not discern what He was saying until December of 1994 when He made His intention for my life clear. Unfortunately, I pushed away that calling in preference to a career in gospel music, which came just a few months later. I would spend almost 14 years in the music business running from the call to preach. But, on the evening of November 9, 2008 I could not run anymore. At long last I answered the call to preach at Middle Tennessee Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee under pastor Tony Hutson.

Since that decision my life has been a true adventure. Things actually got worse and worse over the next 5 years but the Lord was more gracious and faithful that I could have imagined. In 2012 I lost my job, had to sell our house and move 2 times within a few months and was out of work for 9 months. We lost almost everything. In the summer of 2014 my wife, Angel was diagnosed with breast cancer. That led us down a road of aggressive treatment often associated with that condition. She lost a lot but she lived. When her treatment was over we moved to Commerce, Georgia for a new start with some old friends. I got a great job and we joined Wahoo Baptist Church and Brother Mark Stroud became our pastor. We were digging our way out of a deep financial hole. We had a new place and new church friends who quickly became family. Life was looking up.

In March 2016 the Lord began urging me toward itinerant evangelism. Over the next several years He worked His plan and filled our calendar.  In November 2019 I walked away from my job with Kubota Industrial Equipment and put my whole faith and trust in the Lord as my employer. He has been faithful every step of the way.

Then in July of 2021 Angel suffered a grand-mal seizure which led us discover a golf ball sized tumor in the upper right lobe of her brain. She was immediately operated on and the tumor was removed successfully. After radiation treatments and a slow recovery, scans revealed that 4 more inoperable tumors had formed in the lining of her brain. Radiation was attempted once again but to no avail. Angel went home to be with our Lord January 22, 2022. Our daughters, Abigail and Adelyn, were 19 and 15 when their mom passed away. We carried on but it was truthfully more difficult that we could have imagined. Over the course of several months we made some choices and changes that helped us all through the grieving process. That process carries on, by the grace of God.

Today I am blessed to be sent by the Lord all over the US and other countries to preach the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. We ask that you help us pray that our story will be one of finishing well. As Angel said in the midst of her battle, “Don’t Stop Praying.”
